Job description

A well-established and leading manufacturing company based in North Yorkshire is looking for Production Planninng Controller to join the business. This is a full-time permanent position working in a busy, fast-paced, demanding environment. Working Monday to Friday with an early finish on a Friday and offers attractive salary & great company benefits.

The successful Production Controller will be responsible for:

• Plan production schedules across the factory to maximise performance and reduce delays.
• Use Tekla to divide steelwork into packages based on erection sequences.
• Allocate steel using StruMis, matching purchased steel to project needs.
• Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring material availability.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with internal teams.

The ideal Production Planning Controller will have previous relevant experience of working in a production planning role ideally within a manufacturing or construction environment. Knowledge of steel materials and fabrication processes would be beneficial as would experience with Tekla and StruMis (or similar systems). You should have strong problem-solving skills and be educated to a good standard with technical or industry-relevant qualifications.

The Production Planning Controller role offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits and the working hours are Monday – Thursday: 08:30–17:15 and Friday: 08:30 – 15:00 and is commutable from Pickering, Malton, Scarborough, Driffield & surrounding areas.
