Production Planner

Location: Penrith – £31,500 + Overtime

The Job: As a Planner, you will manage transport and manufacturing planning for a busy production mill. This highly organised role requires strong computer skills, including Office, SAP, and CRM. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction. This position offers stability and long-term career prospects in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate transport operations for cost-effective and timely deliveries
  • Develop and manage manufacturing schedules to optimise efficiency and quality
  • Monitor inventory levels and adjust plans to meet demand
  • Collaborate with logistics, production, and customer service teams
  • Maintain records in SAP, CRM, and other systems
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and regulatory standards

Shift Pattern: Rolling alternating 3-shift schedule:

  • Week 1: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday to Saturday
  • Week 2: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday
  • Week 3: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday

The Candidate:

  • Valid current driving license
  • Proven experience with Office, SAP, and CRM systems
  • Experience in transport or production planning, preferably in manufacturing or logistics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive in process improvement
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety standards

The Package:

  • Salary: £31,500
  • Overtime at 1.5x rate
