Job summary

LA International Computer Consultants Ltd is seeking a capable planning professional to create and maintain Rough-Cut Capacity Planning models and detail manufacturing plan methods. The role requires ensuring the local MRP system is accurate, releasing requirements to Manufacturing and Operations on schedule, and providing cost estimates with appraisal of times.

Security clearance is a plus. Candidates should demonstrate experience in lean planning, inventory control, and production control

Qualifications

• Experience applying lean planning techniques in manufacturing or logistics environments.
• Familiarity with Kanban and push/pull production control principles.
• Proven ability to model capacity planning and cost/time trade-offs.

Job description

Main responsibilities

1. The creation and maintenance of Rough-Cut Capacity Planning models.
2. To detail plan methods of manufacture in response to tasking requirements with full regard to time, cost and quality.
3. Ensuring the local MRP system is updated and accurate.
4. Ensuring that customer requirements are planned and released to Manufacturing and Operational activities within the timescales required.
5. To provide manufacturing cost estimates and challenge operation times.
6. Compliance with Inventory control processes.
7. To demonstrate and use 'Lean Planning' techniques and 'Production Control' processes such as visual management, Kanban and Push/Pull in the operational/manufacturing areas.
8. Experience of working in operational environment, production, and/or supply chain functions.
