This role involves creating effective production plans, monitoring inventory materials, and collaborating across teams to ensure high efficiency and quality standards. Ideal candidates should have proven experience in production planning and strong analytical skills, with a proactive approach to driving operational excellence. Join a dedicated team at a company known for its commitment to scientific innovation in skincare.

We're looking for a dedicated and skilled Production Planner to join our team, focusing specifically on the blending production plan at our fast-growing skincare manufacturing business. Reporting to the Production Planner, you will be the driving force behind our blending operations, ensuring we can meet demand while maintaining our high standards for quality and efficiency.
In more detail your role will include:
Production Planning and Schedule Management: Take full ownership of the blending production schedule. Create clear, effective, and detailed production plans to meet finished goods demand and service levels. Daily, you'll monitor adherence to these plans with the manufacturing manager, identify variances between planned vs. actual output, and implement initiatives to keep our schedule on track with minimal disruption.
Inventory and Material Management: Strategically plan and monitor the availability of raw materials for blending. Working with the Supply Planner & Material Buyer use our MRP systems to ensure we have the right materials at the right time, minimising stockouts, preventing waste, and optimising inventory levels. You'll use KPIs to drive continuous improvement in stock management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality Control, R&D, Demand, Supply Chain and Procurement. Coordinate with these departments to ensure a smooth, end-to-end production workflow. You will be a key player in communicating plan changes, addressing issues as they arise, and ensuring all stakeholders are aligned.
Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement: Use your analytical skills to identify bottlenecks, optimise equipment utilisation, and improve the blending process. You will play a vital role in analysing production data to recommend cost-saving measures and improvements in resource utilisation.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Long-range planning up to 12 months to spot capacity constraints. Maintain and update planning systems and internal communication channels to provide transparent and accurate performance updates.
Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience as a production planner in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the cosmetics or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) industries.
Technical Proficiency: You should be proficient in using production planning software, MRP systems, and Excel to manage stock boards and production data.
Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Analytical Mindset: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. You should be able to interpret production data and translate it into actionable improvements.
Leadership and Organisation: A highly organised individual with a proactive approach to planning, prioritising, and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership skills are essential for coordinating workflow and driving team alignment.
