Production Planner - Aldermaston, Berkshire, RG7 4PL

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: Up to £50K + Additional Benefits

Location: Aldermaston (RG7 4PR) with free onsite parking. Working pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. This role is primarily on-site due to the nature of the work.

There may be some limited opportunity to work flexibly depending on specific local area needs.

Let us introduce the role: AWE is currently recruiting for a Production Planner to work in the central planning team within the Product Delivery Management Office. Are you a data-oriented professional with an eye for detail?

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Planner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Integrating delivery schedules
  • Analyzing data
  • Assessing processes
  • Enhancing planning operations

Who are we looking for? We need you to have the following:

  • Experience of Production Planning
  • Experience of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Experience working in operational environments, production, and/or supply chain functions
  • Able to make decisions based on data
  • Experience of ERP / MRP2 systems

Additional preferred experience includes:

  • SAP S4/HANA
  • Primavera (P6)
  • Inventory control processes
  • Lean principles
  • Integrated Operations Planning (Production, Maintenance, Capital Projects)
  • A relevant manufacturing or planning-related professional qualification

Responsibilities include:

  • Integrating business unit schedules
  • Analyzing operational, product, and process data
  • Managing core operational systems
  • Supporting improvement project plans and estimates
  • Developing a Rough-Cut Capacity Planning tool
  • Developing and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Supporting users of ERP/MRP2 systems and processes
  • Developing standard work procedures
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders, including internal customers and suppliers
  • Continuously improving data, processes, and systems
  • Resolving issues proactively
  • Supporting the implementation of SAP ERP system
  • Reporting progress, risks, and opportunities to senior management
  • Collaborating with business units to share best practices and manage internal supply chains
  • Attending Visual Management board meetings and ensuring actions are addressed
  • Working calmly and constructively in a busy environment, managing your workload with initiative and enthusiasm, and meeting tight deadlines
