Production Planner

Job Description

Our client based in York are recruiting for a Production Planner. The working week is Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week. Flexible start/finish times: start between 7am - 9 am and finish 3pm - 5pm. In return our client is paying a salary of £33,500 depending on experience. There is also the potential of 8% bonus.

You will report to the Operations Director and work alongside the company’s Planning Supervisor. You’ll be responsible for co-ordinating and planning Production schedules, working across the Production team with their Cell Leads, Purchasing, Quality, Machine Shop, Stores and Logistics, as well as more widely with Sales and Finance.

You’ll also bring your experience and knowledge to:

1. Analyse, identify and propose solutions to risks and issues.
2. Monitor plans considering wins, issues and improvements.
3. Complete agreed analysis and reporting requirements.
4. Support the implementation and maintenance of our new ERP system.

To be successful, you’ll have experience in the following:

1. Working in a planning/scheduling role to meet the job description responsibilities.
2. Finding, analysing and updating multiple data sources, across multiple departments.
3. Using data to update plans, prepare reports and contribute to presentations and meetings.
4. Responding effectively to change and finding workable resolutions to challenges.
