Job description

A well-established and leading manufacturing company based in North Yorkshire is looking for a Production Planner to join the business. This is a full-time permanent position working in a busy, fast-paced, demanding environment. Working Monday to Friday, 37 hours, and offers attractive salary & benefits.

The successful Production Planner will be responsible for:

  1. Carrying out planning for all areas of production in the business and monitoring operational performance
  2. Maintaining KPIs, generating reports, and analyzing data
  3. Liaising with sales, production, and transport departments
  4. Scheduling work and monitoring all materials for work orders
  5. Monitoring and improving production efficiencies
  6. Reviewing shortages and expediting priorities
  7. Ensuring effective communication and coordination across departments

The ideal candidate will have experience in a planning role within an SME manufacturing environment and strong competence in MRP/ERP systems. You should have previous experience in manufacturing resource planning/material requirements and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Excel, and extensive knowledge of MRP systems are essential. This is a great opportunity to join a fantastic manufacturing business.

The role offers a competitive salary, great benefits, and working hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday and until 4 pm on Friday. The position is commutable from Pickering, Malton, Scarborough, York, Thirsk, and surrounding areas.
