Our client, a prominent organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a skilled Production Planner to join their Maritime Services unit based in Portsmouth. This is a 12-month contract position requiring full-time on-site presence, contributing to vital defence projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participating in and supporting the creation and display of performance metrics used to measure planning output; suggesting and promoting potential improvements
• Maintaining a close relationship with production trade heads and subcontractors to ensure continuous improvement and benchmarking of planning and estimating norms
• Ensuring that any non-conforming product or service discovered during any activity is reported to the appropriate authority
• Coaching new starters and apprentices where applicable

Job Requirements:

• Experience in production planning within the defence sector
• Strong background in production processes and methodologies
