Responsibilities

Production Planner
Bridgwater
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
35,000- 37,000 DOE

A well-established manufacturing business in the southwest is expanding its team and seeking a Production Planner to optimise manufacturing schedules and ensure on-time, in-full delivery. The role supports efficient resource coordination across a fast-paced, specialised production environment.

You will be responsible for forward planning, managing capacity, and working closely with Sales, Procurement, and Production teams to maximise machine utilisation and minimise delays. The role involves leading S&OP meetings and maintaining accurate scheduling and forecasting through ERP and planning systems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and improve capacity planning and scheduling systems
  • Develop agile production plans to maximise efficiency and reduce variance
  • Lead regular S&OP meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Monitor raw materials and packaging availability to support production needs
  • Maintain accurate ERP data and generate daily adherence reports
  • Collaborate with procurement to optimise stock and minimise waste
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within planning activities

What you'll need:

  • Experience in planning within a high-volume manufacturing setting
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
