Position OverviewCalleva is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Production Planner to join our Supply Chain team. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining and optimising both short- and long-term production schedules to ensure the efficient utilisation of resources and the timely fulfilment of customer requirements.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to planning and problem-solving. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality and Senior Leadership, to ensure alignment across all operational areas.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain production schedules, ensuring optimal use of machinery, labour, and materials
Lead weekly production planning meetings with departmental managers and team leaders
Participate in daily production update meetings to monitor progress and address emerging issues
Support the implementation and continuous improvement of ERP/MRP systems in collaboration with the ERP Team Lead
Raise purchase orders in accordance with production requirements and timelines
Liaise with internal departments to communicate supply chain issues, schedule changes, and potential impacts on operations
Monitor and report on risks and opportunities affecting the production plan
Ensure the accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of all planning-related data
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Essential Attributes:
Proven experience in a production planning or scheduling role
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organisation
Exceptional organisational and time management abilities
High level of accuracy in data entry and reporting
Confident in numerical analysis and decision-making
Ability to prioritise effectively and adapt to changing demands
Professional, dependable, and collaborative in approach
Desirable:
Experience within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment
