Production Planner
Production Planner - Penrith – £31,500 + Overtime

The Job:
As a Planner, you will play a pivotal role in managing transport and manufacturing planning for a busy production mill. This is a highly organised and detail-oriented role, requiring strong computer literacy and proficiency in Office, SAP, and CRM systems. You will work closely with various teams to ensure seamless operations, efficiency, and the fulfilment of customer demand. This role is ideal for someone seeking a long-term, stable position in a dynamic production environment.
Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and coordinate transport operations to ensure cost-effective and timely deliveries
- Develop and manage manufacturing schedules to optimise production efficiency and maintain quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust plans accordingly to meet changing demand
- Collaborate with internal departments, including logistics, production, and customer service, to maintain effective communication and workflow
- Maintain accurate records and reports in SAP, CRM, and other systems
- Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and minimise waste
- Ensure all planning activities comply with Health & Safety and regulatory standards

Shift Pattern:

- Rolling alternating 3-shift schedule:

- Week 1: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday to Saturday
- Week 2: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday
- Week 3: 8:00AM to 4:00PM, Monday to Friday

The Candidate:

- Must have a valid current driving license
- Strong computer literacy with proven experience in Office, SAP, and CRM systems
- Experience in transport or production planning, preferably within manufacturing or logistics environments
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
- A proactive approach to improving processes and efficiency
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and compliance standards

The Package:

- Salary: £31,500
- Overtime available at 1.5x the standard rate
- Rolling 3-shift schedule (detailed above, one Saturday in 3)
