Role: Production Planner


Salary: £30,000 - £35,000


Location: Lacock, Wiltshire

Working
Hours: 06.00am - 18.00pm, 4on4off

We are seeking a Production Planner to join our expanding Egg Innovation Centre in Lacock, Wiltshire. Reporting to the Centre’s Supply & Demand Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules that balance customer demand, inventory targets, and capacity constraints. Working closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams, you will ensure timely product availability while minimising waste and downtime in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, issue, and maintain detailed production schedules to meet customer demand, optimise resource utilisation, and achieve inventory targets.
  • Monitor production progress against plan, identifying and resolving scheduling conflicts, material shortages, or capacity constraints in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate planning data in ERP and scheduling systems, ensuring all stakeholders have up-to-date information.
  • Support new product launches by coordinating trial production runs, validating capacity, and integrating new products into the production schedule.
  • Identify and implement areas for continuous improvement within the planning functions, increasing efficiency and mitigating bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing projects and waste-reduction programs.
  • Ensure all planning activities align with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards, maintaining full compliance with company policies and external requirements.

Qualifications / Experience:
