Qualifications

  • 5+ years Production Planning experience.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Engineering competence / knowledge in relation to machining and assembly.
  • A suitable level of product and organisational familiarity is a distinct advantage.
  • ERP planning experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Sales on delivery dates and agree delivery dates prior to Order Input.
  • Plan all products through Manufacturing Cells.
  • Maximise use of the order management system and ensure visibility of all orders.
  • Identify critical items and issues, resolving them as necessary.
  • Communicate cross-functionally to minimise delays.
  • Investigate available capacity vs. likely load.
  • Produce and publish metrics as required.
  • Support team members in production and purchasing during absences.

We are now recruiting for a Production Planner who will support us in developing a forward-looking planning function for all products that maximises shipping performance, ensures on-time delivery, exceeds customer expectations, and drives continuous improvement!

As our Production Planner, you will be specifically responsible for:

  • Being involved in the Order Input Control Process – Liaising with Sales on delivery dates, agree delivery dates prior to Order Input
  • Taking Ownership of, and plan all products through Manufacturing Cells
  • Maximising use of the order management system and ensure visibility of all orders
  • Identifying critical items and issues, and resolve them
  • Cross-functional communication and co-ordination to minimise delays
  • Investigating available capacity vs. likely load
  • Producing and publishing metrics as required
  • Supporting function for team members in production and purchasing during absences

In order to be successful in this role it is essential that you have:

  • 5+ years Production Planning experience.
