Bawnbua Foods is a leading NI food business established in 1985. Supplying into the retail, food service and food-manufacturing sectors, we offer a range of primal, value-added and cooked meat items from our production base in Northern Ireland. We currently have an opportunity for a Production Planner to join our team.

Production Planner Job Brief

We are looking for a Production Planner to work within our Procurement and Planning Team.

Working within a busy department, you will report to the Purchasing Director and will be responsible for ensuring that products are produced on time and in an efficient manner, whilst ensuring the smooth flow of production operations.

Responsibilities
  1. To create weekly, monthly and quarterly production plans using a variety of data streams.
  2. Create inventory requirement plans for colleagues in Purchasing and Production to feed into the production requirements.
  3. Co-ordinate production workflows ensuring products are produced as efficiently and profitably as possible.
  4. Ensure customer service level requirements are achieved.
  5. Present clear concise production plans.
  6. Prepare and submit performance reports.
Requirements
  1. A minimum of 1 year of experience working within a busy planning role.
  2. Sound knowledge of production planning, stock analysis control, and purchase planning.
  3. Degree level qualification in a relevant related discipline.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Strong IT skills and an ability to record and present information in a concise format.
  6. A driven and flexible approach to work to meet the needs of the business and the role is essential.
  7. The ability to work well under pressure and to play your role in a busy team environment.
  8. Excellent communicator with positive leadership skills.
