Your new role

As a Production Planner, you will take full ownership of operational planning across production or manufacturing. You’ll manage the entire production lifecycle, from strategic planning to value stream scheduling, ensuring customer delivery targets are met. Key responsibilities include maintaining operational and MRP plans, developing and overseeing the PRR process, coordinating with internal teams, mitigating material shortages, and generating works orders. You’ll also be expected to apply continuous improvement methods and contribute to performance tracking through KPI reporting.

What you'll need to succeed

To thrive in this role, you’ll need a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Production Control or Planning, ideally within a manufacturing setting. Proficiency in MRP systems and a solid working knowledge of MS Excel are essential. You should be educated to GCSE level (Grades A*-C or equivalent, including Maths and English), and have a proven track record of improving efficiencies. Strong statistical skills and the ability to manage production costs while maintaining quality standards are also key.
