Job summary

Teledyne CML Composites in Bromborough is seeking a Production Planner to develop, maintain and execute the Master Production Schedule across multiple manufacturing operations.

You will collaborate with Operations, Procurement and Inventory Control to balance supply and demand, set realistic lead times and drive improvements in scheduling accuracy and efficiency. 1–3 years in planning in manufacturing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
• 1–3 years’ experience in a manufacturing planning role.
• Advanced Level qualification or equivalent desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage workflow plans from the Master Production Schedule for each product stream.
• Establish accurate lead times for components and assemblies.
• Produce reports and KPI analyses with plan-versus-actual comparisons.
• Collaborate with Operations, Procurement and Inventory Control to address supply/demand issues.
• Develop finite capacity plans to support master scheduling and gap analysis.
• Suggest tactical improvement actions to increase scheduling accuracy and efficiency.

Summary

The Production Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the Master Production Schedule to ensure efficient workflow, timely delivery, and optimal resource utilization across all manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage detailed workflow plans derived from the Master Production Schedule for each Customer Product Stream, organized by work centre and operation.
• Establish accurate manufacturing and assembly lead times for all required components.
• Produce detailed reports and analysis on operational performance against the Production Schedule, including plan-versus-actual comparisons of KPIs across departments and stakeholders. Identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, and Inventory Control teams to address supply/demand imbalances caused by material shortages, resource constraints, or capacity issues.
• Develop forward-looking finite capacity plans based on historical performance and known constraints, supporting gap analysis against the Master Schedule.
• Recommend tactical solutions and process improvements to enhance scheduling accuracy and operational efficiency.

What we're looking for in you

• Previous demonstratable experience within Planning and Supply Chain as a planner or similar.
• 1–3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced Level qualification or equivalent desirable.
