Production Operator - Power Station

MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting a Production Operator to join a biomass power station in Thetford, Norfolk. The responsibilities you will undergo as an operator cover a wide range of operational activities to ensure the plant is efficiently hitting targets in a safe manner.

As a Production Operator, you will be responsible for:

1. Performing consistent inspections and checks around the plant, ensuring maximum performance of machinery.
2. Assisting the team with startup/close of the plant.
3. Training on different systems including DCS (Distributed Control System).
4. Operating a range of plant machinery including FLTs, Excavators, etc.
5. Maintaining a safe, clean, orderly plant condition at all times.
6. Performing all these duties on a day/night shift pattern basis.

To be considered for this role you should have:

1. A completed apprenticeship or qualification (C&G, NVQ) in a relevant field.
2. Mobile plant skills helpful but not necessary.
3. Military engineers are encouraged to apply (Navy, RAF, and Army).
4. Basic maintenance skills (mechanical or electrical).
5. Happy working 12-hour shifts pattern that includes both days and nights.
6. Willingness to develop and learn new skills.
