Job Title: Production Operative - Temporary Contract

We have a great opportunity for Production Operators on a permanent, full-time basis.

Epson Telford Limited was established in 1987. We operate on a 50-acre site with a 24/7 manufacturing operation. Epson is the only European manufacturing and distribution site for ink cartridges and textile inks, recently expanding into blow moulding.

Quality and innovation are at the heart of everything we do, from our Cleanroom environment to in-house machinery, design, and technology improvements, including the use of our own 6-axis robots.

Salary:

£24,829 + 17% shift allowance

Shift Pattern:

1. Week 1 - 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
2. Week 2 - 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Following a successful application, candidates will be invited to Epson’s site for a recruitment process including: literacy and numeracy tests, drug and alcohol tests, health and safety briefing, and a competency-based interview. The assessment will take around 3 hours.

The Role:

• Check production shipping plans to prioritize orders.
• Communicate with the infusion department about planned builds.
• Manage stock movements within the packing area, including replenishment.
• Report spillages and leaks to KTP during shifts.
• Follow procedures and work instructions for each process.
• Record batch codes for traceability.
• Produce labels for each pouch or bag using relevant matrices.
• Achieve daily production targets.
• Maintain quality standards during shifts.
• Escalate machine downtime to technicians.
• Set up lines correctly at the start of each shift.
• Ensure lines are cleared at the end of shifts.
• Perform 5S activities during and after shifts.
• Move unwanted satellites and barrels back to set locations, weighing if necessary.
• Always wear PPE.
• Verify trolley quantities and match with paperwork.
• Follow work instructions for infusion and packing areas.
• Support other business areas as required.
• Complete all necessary training.
• Perform SAP transactions for bin-to-bin movements and packing receipts.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Record defects and DAS daily, and complete SAP transactions accordingly.
