Job summary

apetito is seeking a wash-up operative to join the Meals department. This full-time role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 14:00–22:00, at our Wiltshire site. You will work in a multi-functional team, supporting clean downs, hygiene, and production readiness.

Responsibilities

• High pressure wash all tote bins, baths, racks and items requiring sanitization.
• Place tubs & trays into tray wash machine and sanitize them.
• Dismantle depositors, clean, reassemble and sign off for production.
• Dismantle and clean meat slicers using water and detergent, then sanitize.
• Clean racks and cupboards regularly; maintain hygiene standards.
• Ensure sanitizer is changed every two hours; follow priority order.

This position is 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday 14.00-22.00

Responsibilities

To be a key member of the wash-up team, ensuring that all tote bins, tubs, racks & any other equipment are washed & sanitized correctly and assist in other tasks when required

Staff are employed and trained to be multi-functional and to be capable of carrying out numerous functions should this be required when a fellow staff member is away or absent.

General Tasks

• To high pressure wash all tote bins, baths, racks & any other items that may require high pressure washing & sanitize.
• To place all tubs & trays into tray wash machine & to sanitize them once removing from machine.
• To dismantle all depositors & clean using high pressure wash and inspect, re-assemble and sign off ready for production.
• To dismantle and clean the Meat slicers using water and detergent and then sanitize.
• To empty scale cupboard of all racking & to clean racks and cupboard regularly.
• Ensure that all items are cleaned thoroughly & sanitized.
• Ensure sanitizer is changed every two hours.
• Ensure items are washed in a priority order.
• Follow correct personal hygiene procedures (e.g. changing procedure, hand washing procedures).
• Operate to a clean (and tidy) as you go policy.
• Carry out efficient and effective clean downs.
• To support in change overs on the line.
• Support with break cover when needed.
