Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Production Operator on a fixed term maternity cover. The role focuses on cost and quality control across materials such as raw materials, paper, starch and corrugated board, with a readiness to learn and expand corrugator knowledge.

You will follow the site quality control policies, report health and safety issues through proper channels, keep the workspace clean, and consult senior operators on process needs to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Responsibilities

• methods ensuring cost and quality effective outcome
• Focus on raw materials, paper, starch as well as manufactured board is monitored and reporting any discrepancies
• Seeking to learn new opportunities and broaden corrugator knowledge base
• Follow the quality control policy and procedures of the work organization
• Report on all health and safety issues through the correct channels
• Keep workstation and area clean and tidy
• Consult the charge hand or technical operator on process requirements
• Sign off safe working systems and risk assessments
