Job description

Could you be our next Pallet Operative? About us: Junction 4 Pallets are a family-owned business established over 30 years ago that manufacture, repair, and sort pallets, being known in the marketplace as a total pallet provider with sites across the UK. We are expanding rapidly currently employing over 160 employees with sites in Doncaster, Coventry, Harlow and Alloa. At our sites in Armthorpe, Doncaster, we fabricate new pallets or sort and repair used pallets for our customers across the United Kingdom. This facility is open 24/7, running on a 4 on – 4 off shift pattern, from 6:30 – 6:30 both days and nights. Both sites are located at or near West Moor Farm, Armthorpe, Doncaster DN3 3EA.   • Manufacturing of new pallets which involves lifting.
  • Assisting in the use of machinery to create new pallets in standard sizes.
  • Using jigs to create new pallets in non standard sizes.

This is a job role that requires a person to stand for long periods of time. You will need to be fit and able to meet physical demands of the role. The job will involve working both inside and outside in all types of weather. You will be required to work a 12 hour shift (with 2 x 30 minute unpaid breaks) on a 4 on 4 off day and night shift pattern. The training rate of pay is £12.60 per hour during the training period which will include a 4 day induction and a minimum of a 4 week rotation period. Please be aware that the first 4 weeks of induction will be on days, then on the 5th week you will go to nights. After you have passed and completed your Induction/Training (This could take up to 12 weeks) the rate of pay will go up to £13.85 per hour.
