Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Production Operator in Swindon, United Kingdom, to manufacture Wire & Cable products to quality standards and to maintain accurate documentation. You will work the weekend night shift (Fri-Sun 18:00–06:00) and contribute to continuous improvement while following EH&S policies.

Ideal candidates will read and follow manufacturing instructions, be able to hand over tasks effectively, and work to Lean schedules with attention to quality productivity systems.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manufacture Wire & Cable products following quality standards.
• Perform production stages per Lean Manufacturing and SOPs.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely.
• Report deviations to supervision and assist in non-conformances.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the department.
• Obey TE Connectivity EH&S policies and procedures.

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

This role requires the person to work Weekend Nights 18.00 - 6.00 Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

Job Requirements

• As a Production Operator, you will contribute to the manufacture of Wire & Cable products in accordance with the company Quality standards as well as Health & Safety.
• To work within the team performing the various stages of production as defined by the Tyco Electronics Operating Advantage (Lean Manufacturing), Quality, Safety, General Standards and Company Procedures.
• To work to a manufacturing schedule and to notify supervision of any issues that may affect the completion of the schedule.
• To prepare and complete all documentation accurately, legibly and in a timely manner.
• To report any deviations to supervision promptly and t assist in resolving non-compliances where necessary.
• To contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, procedures and quality within the department.
• To comply with training procedures and keep abreast of updates to General Standards.
