Job summary

TE Connectivity's Production team in Swindon seeks a Production Operator II to support manufacturing of components from raw materials, perform changeovers, and conduct quality checks in line with TE's procedures.

The role is a permanent full-time night shift (Mon-Thu 10pm-6am, Fri 6pm-12am) with a 33% shift allowance. You will document results, follow EH&S policies, and contribute to continuous improvement within a safe, collaborative environment.

• Participate in internal/external training relevant to the role.
• Awareness of sources of waste that impact the business.
• Work safely and follow all health and safety guidelines.
• Carry out any other duties as designated by your manager.

Responsibilities

• Work within the team performing the various stages of production as defined by the Lean Manufacturing and company procedures.
• Work to a manufacturing schedule and notify supervision of any issues that may affect the schedule.
• Prepare and complete all documentation accurately, legibly and in a timely manner.
• Report deviations to supervision promptly and assist in resolving non-compliances where necessary.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, procedures and quality within the department.
• Comply with training procedures and updates to General Standards.

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Production Operator Materials & Compounding

Permanent Contract - Full-time

Night Shift Position: Mon to Thurs 10pm to 6am & Fri 6pm to 12am

Shift Allowance: 33%

Role Description

• To work within the team performing the various stages of production as defined by the Tyco Electronics Operating Advantage (Lean Manufacturing), Quality, Safety, General Standards and Company Procedures
• To work to a manufacturing schedule and to notify supervision of any issues that may affect the completion of the schedule
• To prepare and complete all documentation accurately, legibly and in a timely manner
• To report any deviations to supervision promptly and to assist in resolving non-compliances where necessary
• To contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, procedures and quality within the department
• To comply with training procedures and keep abreast of updates to General Standards.
