Job summary
TE Connectivity in Hastings, United Kingdom, is seeking an Assembly Supervisor to lead a team of assembly staff on site. You will plan daily/weekly work with section leaders, drive performance to achieve targets, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities
- Day to day supervision of staff.
- Create Daily/Weekly plans with other section leaders to deliver business requirements.
- Drive team performance to achieve the defined plan.
- Maintain TE core values and behaviours.
- Conduct regular one-to-one discussions with team members.
- Carry out end of year appraisals and goal setting.
- Ensure work completed on time and to standard.
- Contribute to delivering KPI targets: Delivery on Time, efficiency, Earned Hours.
- Assist with quality investigations to determine root causes.
- Identify development needs and plan training solutions.
- Host team reviews and manage communication boards.
- Report KPI results and propose improvements.
- Uphold company procedures and safety regulations.
- Be able to deputise in supervision when needed.

Have a full understanding and working knowledge of the procedures of the department. Recommend improvements where possible whilst ensuring quality standards are met. To assist the Production Supervisor in achieving all departmental performance criteria, including training and development of Operators. To lead a designated team of assembly staff who will report to the team leader.

Day to day supervision of staff.
In conjunction with other Section Leaders, create Daily/ Weekly plans that deliver the business requirements for the area
Drive the performance of the team to achieve the defined plan.
Display and ensure all team members always display TE’s core values and behaviours.
Hold and record regular effective one to one’s with team members.
Carry out end of year appraisals and goal setting in line with TE policy.
Ensure that your own and the teams work is finished on time and to the correct standard.
To contribute to achieving departmental targets – specifically ‘Delivery on Time’ and efficiency and Earned Hours
When required to be part of the team to assist with quality investigations and reviews to determine true root cause of defects, using appropriate tools and methodologies.
Identify development needs within the area, and with the support of the Supervisor, organise and plan training solutions accordingly.
Host team reviews and manage team communication boards, to include reporting to supervisor.
To be accountable for the team’s Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets, communicate these with the team members, and feedback with potential solutions when not on target.
Ensure company procedures and policies are upheld.
To ensure health and safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation are adhered to.
To deputise in the absence of supervision.
To support other teams when required.
Liaise with other departments and managers when required.
Liaise with the maintenance department regarding machine breakdowns and repairs.
When required, to carry out/be part of a team on TEOA/KAISAN activities.
Ensure 5S is maintained to the standards required.
To carry out any other reasonable tasks as may be requested from time to time.
To adopt and sustain a flexible and proactive approach in all departmental work activities.
To work to the departmental fundamental rules.
To ensure a positive attitude and good team working is encouraged and supported.
Proven experience in leading a team.
Strong general education with a high level of achievement.
