Job summary

AliveDx, based near Edinburgh, is hiring a Production Operator to join the Manufacturing team. This 12-month contract runs 37.5 hours per week on rotating shifts (0600-1400 & 1300-2100), Monday to Friday.

You will manufacture diagnostic reagents to specifications, maintain records, and support GMP compliance. No degree required; full training provided. Salary £26,500 with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• GMP laboratory experience is desirable but not required.
• Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail.
• Well organized with ability to follow procedures and maintain records.
• Willingness to participate in overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture high-quality diagnostic reagents to specifications and schedules.
• Maintain accurate records and TROPOS system transactions for lab docs.
• Keep equipment operating correctly and in good order.
• Maintain clean GMP-compliant work environment and safety policies.
• Label, pack product and ensure sufficient consumables and labels.
• Contribute to SOP reviews and continuous improvement.
• Participate in COSH/Risk Assessments and training programs.

AliveDx are recruiting for a Production Operator to join our Manufacturing team based near Edinburgh (Milton Brridge, EH26 0BF). This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have gained experience in the workplace and are now seeking a secure and progressive career path in the Life Sciences industry, with no degree requirement. This is a 12 month contract, working 37.5 hours per week on a rotational shift pattern (0600-1400 & 1300-2100), Monday to Friday.

YOUR MISSION

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring manufacture of high-quality diagnostic reagents in line with the relevant specifications and to agreed schedules.
• Maintaining accurate and legible records (including TROPOS system transactions) to ensure relevant laboratory documentation is kept in satisfactory condition.
• Maintaining equipment in accordance with agreed procedures, ensuring equipment is operating correctly.
• Maintaining a clean work environment in accordance with GMP standards and relevant Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
• Filling, labelling and packing of product according to specifications and schedule, ensuring sufficient availability of consumables and labels.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities including the review and updating of procedures and SOPs.
• Ensure awareness of COSH/Risk Assessments.
• Participate in continuous training activities in accordance with a personal development plan along with supporting the training of less experienced colleagues.

YOUR COMPETENCIES

• Standard Grade/ National 4/5 or equivalent Mathematics and English
• Experience within a GMP Laboratory environment is desirable but not a requirement.
• Proficient using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and other ITsystems.
• Effective written and verbal communication with ability to activley participate in meetings.
• Strong organizational skills, with excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedure.
• A customer focused mindset with ability to take accountability, demonstrate integrity and drive results.
• Ability to participate in overtime activities as required.
