Job Description:

We are currently looking for a number of Production Operatives to join a global production company based in Newcastle. The Production Operators will work on a long term temporary contract, with the opportunity to go permanent in the future. The Production Operators are required to work on shift within a manufacturing operational environment which specializes in assembling and testing products for the oil industry.

Key Activities:
  1. Ensure any tooling/equipment used on the shop floor is returned to the required location once finished with.
  2. Carry out duties in-line with required company 5S standards (visual display/tidiness).
  3. Carry any duties requested by on shift supervisor/lead operator to support assembly and testing operations.
  4. Carry out duties in-line with HSE regulations.
  5. Follow SOIs and Risk Assessments.
Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Follow HSE regulations whilst on-site.
  2. Ensure all tooling is returned to dedicated storage locations when finished on operations.
  3. Complete any requests from stores/warehouse for items when required and deliver to the shop floor.
Desirable Points:
  1. Experience in manufacturing.
  2. Forklift Trucks.
  3. Lifting/Slinging.
  4. Crane Operations.
  5. Hand Power Tools.
  6. Understanding of Assembly drawings/Following instructions.
  7. HSE foundations.
  8. 5S/Lean.
  9. Quality Management Systems.
Shift Pattern:

The roles would work on the Continental Shift Pattern detailed below; 12 hours: 7am - 7pm and 7 pm to 7am rotating on a 4 weekly shift pattern. More details can be discussed at the point of pre-screen.

Compensation:

£18.02 per hour. Overtime is available.
