Our client is experiencing a significant increase in sales of Paper Packaging and is seeking a skilled and experienced Production Operator to join their expanding production team.

The ideal candidate will possess mechanical experience, excellent communication skills, and a high mechanical aptitude.

The role involves operating production line equipment, finishing products, and reporting equipment issues to supervisors.

Candidates with Paper Bag Machinery experience or a Flexo Print background (Narrow or Wide Web) who are willing to train on Triumph 3 MR Block bottom bag machinery, including a 4-color flexo inline printing station, will be considered.

Currently, shifts are over 5 days / 24 hours, with flexibility required as the operation will expand to 7 days as sales grow.

Reporting to: Production Manager

Responsibilities and Minimum Requirements:

• Control and adjust machines
• Feed paper rolls and monitor gluing systems
• Fix minor issues during shifts
• Inspect produced bags for machine-related errors
• Maintain safety standards and technical qualifications
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and functional

Desired Skills:

• Experience with SOS paper bag making machines with Flat handles or equivalent
• Experience with Flat and Satchel bag making machines with online printing or equivalent
• Experience with Roll-to-Roll Flexo printing machines or equivalent

Required Skills:

• GCSEs or equivalent
