Job summary

Sensient Technologies seeks a Chemical Operator in King's Lynn to support manufacture and processing of dyes, intermediates and cosmetics. You will operate presses, reaction vessels, ovens and other processing equipment as part of a rotating schedule (days and nights) and contribute to safe, efficient production.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, time management and problem-solving, with training provided during onboarding and beyond, plus a competitive salary and benefits

Qualifications

• GCSEs Maths, English, and general literacy and numeracy required.
• Previous work experience in chemical processing environment desirable.
• Self-motivated with a can-do attitude, essential communication and time management, mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the manufacture and processing of Arianor Dyes, Intermediates, Cosmetic products, Lakes and Azo Dyes.
• Operate processing plants, including presses, reaction vessels, ovens, moisture checking and other equipment.
• Operate mechanical handling devices.
• Assist in the movement of materials.
• Clean working areas and equipment.

We are seeking a self-motivated Chemical Operator. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism with a can-do attitude. Excellent communication skills are essential along with exceptional time management, mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

As a key member of the Sensient team, you will be required to push boundaries and innovate, working on rotation shifts -1 week Days (44 hrs Monday-Thursday) followed by 1 week Nights (36 hrs Monday- Wednesday).

What you'll do:

• Assist in the manufacture and processing of Arianor Dyes, Intermediates, Cosmetic products, Lakes and Azo Dyes.
• Operate processing plants, which may include the following: Presses, Reaction vessels, Ovens, Guedo's, program setting, moisture checking, de-traying, Kibblers, Mills and Blenders.
• Operate mechanical handling devices
• Assist in the movement of materials
• Clean working areas and equipment.
