Job summary

Lorien is seeking a Production Operator for a precious metals manufacturing facility in Royston. You will assist in turning ingots into finished components and ensure safety, quality, and accurate documentation throughout the process.

The role involves operating machinery, using precision measuring tools, and preparing samples for quality inspection. A positive team player with basic Word/Excel skills will fit well.

Production Operator: Precious Metals Manufacturing

Location: Royston
Contract type: 12 months
Salary: 21.55 per hour

About the role

Our client, a well-established specialist in precious metals and advanced materials, is looking for a Production Operator to join its manufacturing team. You'll help produce Platinum group metal (PGM) alloys, processing ingots into finished components for further processing or sale to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Working safely and reporting any incidents promptly


• Following operating procedures and recording process information accurately


• Setting up and operating machinery to agreed standards


• Using measuring equipment (including micrometers and tensile testing machines) and SPC charts to monitor product quality


• Preparing quality samples and inspection documentation


• Inspecting and packaging materials
