Job description

Brightwork recruitment is currently hiring mill operators to join our client, a well-known and successful timber merchant based in Grangemouth.

Your Time at Work

Shift pattern: Back shift

• 14:00 - 22:00, Monday to Thursday
• 14:00 - 21:00, Friday

39 hours per week.

Responsibilities

1. Work in accordance with all Safe System of Work and Risk Assessments.
2. Unwrap, de-band, and prepare incoming packs of timber for use by the Machinist / Sawyer to ensure efficient throughput.
3. Unload and stack timber from machines, ensuring a quality product is presented safely and acceptably.
4. Wrap and strap completed timber packs for safe transportation and quality maintenance.
5. Report any quality concerns regarding the timber produced, as per quality documents, to ensure customer satisfaction.
6. Maintain a clean and safe working environment through good housekeeping practices to ensure product quality and safety.
