Job summary

JCB, the UK’s leading manufacturer of construction and agricultural equipment, is seeking motivated Production Operatives to join their team across sites in Derbyshire and Staffordshire. You will work on the assembly line to build industry-leading machinery, meeting KPI targets and maintaining quality standards.

We offer an hourly rate of £14.47, a variety of shift patterns, overtime pay at time-and-a-half, 33 days’ paid holiday, free on-site parking, and access to JCB’s Employee Assistance

Qualifications

• Previous factory, production, assembly, or mechanical experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent timekeeping and attendance.

Key Responsibilities

• In this role, you’ll play a vital part in the production of high-quality machinery. Day-to-day duties may include:


• Working on the assembly line to help build industry-leading construction equipment while meeting KPI targets


• Maintaining performance and quality standards at all times


• Using hand and air tools safely and effectively


• Loading and unloading vehicles


• Receiving, storing, and organising goods within the warehouse


• Participating in on-site training programmes to develop and enhance your skills


• Supporting different processes across the operation following training


• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives (problem-solving, countermeasures, and Kaizen activities)


• Adhering strictly to all Health & Safety policies and procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Previous factory, production, assembly, or mechanical experience (desirable but not essential – full training provided)


• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy


• Excellent timekeeping and attendance


• A flexible approach and willingness to work shifts
