Job summary

Pure Pet Food Ltd. is seeking Production Operatives to join our Bradford site. You will handle packing and labeling of dry food pouches, using our warehouse system to record inventory and support daily distribution.

The role requires maintaining clean work areas and adherence to HACCP and safety standards. We offer a structured shift pattern, 40-hour weeks, and a supportive team in a growing pet nutrition company.

Qualifications

• Experience in a food production environment.
• Good communication in English (written and verbal).

• Willingness to develop and grow within the factory.

Responsibilities

• Pack and label sealed dry food pouches into customer boxes as directed; ensure correct presentation.
• Use warehouse management system to track inventory and update records.
• Keep work areas clean and tidy to maintain production/dispatch efficiency.
• Ensure all mixes are packed to specified quality, complying with HACCP and food safety plans.
• Minimise waste of ingredients, packaging, products, power, and time.

• AM/PM Shift – Working hours either 05.55 to 14.05 or 13.55 to 22.05 usually Monday to Friday. We also have night shifts and weekend shifts subject to availability.

The Production Operative role…

Our Production Operatives play an essential role here at Pure Pet Food. Each day 1000’s of individual customer orders are produced, picked and packed ready for daily distribution. All from our dry and non-refrigerated factory site located in Cleckheaton. Maintaining our high levels of customer service is essential and our production operatives ability to select the correct order for each and every customer goes a long way in achieving this.

Duties and responsibilities of the role are:

• Pack and label sealed dry food pouches into individual customer boxes as directed by our internal system. Presentation is key, considering this when packing the individual pouches is essential.
• Use warehouse management system to track inventory and update records.
• Keeping the areas clean and tidy to ensure production/dispatch/service efficiencies can be maintained by all staff.
• To ensure that all mixes are packed to the specified quality, food safety standards and legal requirements, within the HACCP Plan and Food Safety Plan.
• To minimize waste of all types, including ingredients, packaging, products, power, time etc.

• Experience with a food production environment
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or concerns (both verbal and written English)
• High levels of attention to detail
• A willingness to develop and grow within our factory

• You have a food safety qualification (desirable but not essential)
