Job description

Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading food manufacturing company, in their search for a Production Operative to work in their facility in Corwen.

Job Role: The Production Operative position will involve working on a flow line producing food products, packing products ready to be distributed, and mixing and weighing raw materials, ensuring efficiency and quality in line with industry standards.

  • Pay: £12.23 to £14.33 Depending on shift
  • Hours of Work:
    • Mornings: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:00 (£12.23/hour)
    • Afternoons: Monday to Friday, 14:00 – 22:00 (£13.28/hour)
    • Nights: Sunday to Thursday, 22:00 – 06:00 (£14.33/hour)
  • Duration: Temp to perm
  • Overtime Rules: Overtime paid after 40 hours.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing company.

Additional Information:

  • Free transport is available from Wrexham, Oswestry, Chirk, Froncysyllte, and Llangollen.
  • The company operates two BRC AA accredited production sites in North Wales, specializing in gluten-free snack manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

  • Building trailers on the assembly line according to drawings, instructions, or schematics.
  • Inspecting assembled products for any faults or defects.
  • Stopping the assembly line and halting production if machinery fails or a major defect is detected.
  • Following established safety and efficiency procedures to ensure that operations run smoothly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Previous experience of working in a production environment is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Physically fit and able to complete manual handling tasks - ESSENTIAL.
  • The ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be able to work well as part of a team.
