Purpose

Are you a detail-oriented and motivated individual with a passion for manufacturing and machine operation? At The Safety Letterbox Company, we are looking for a Production Operative – Trumpf to join our skilled team in Neath. This role involves operating Trumpf machinery to cut product to the required specification, ensuring a high standard of quality, accuracy, and safety.

You will be responsible for delivering production output according to job card instructions, maintaining machine and tool conditions, and contributing to a safe and efficient working environment. Key Responsibilities

As a Production Operative – Trumpf, you will support the manufacturing process through machine operation and quality control.

Production Operations:

– Operate Trumpf machinery in line with job card requirements.
– Download and run correct machine programs.
– Set and adjust tooling using measuring equipment to ensure precision.
– Cut products to the correct quality and quantity as outlined.
– De-burr products to meet finishing standards.

Tool and Machine Maintenance:

– Carry out daily machine and guard inspections.
– Maintain tool condition and re-grind as required.
– Perform routine tool and machine maintenance.
– Manage and maintain steel stock levels.

Quality & Safety Compliance:

– Work to all outlined quality standards and procedures.
– Wear appropriate PPE and follow safety protocols.
– Keep work areas clean and safe at all times.
– Complete all paperwork to required standards.

Additional Duties:

– Adhere to all Health and Safety guidelines.

Carry out any other tasks appropriate to the level and grade of the role.

Person Specification

– Ability to read and follow job card instructions.
– Strong awareness of Health and Safety practices.
– Confidence in using machinery and measuring equipment.
