Job summary

Sofina Foods Europe is hiring a Production Operative in Malton. You will join a hands-on team to prepare and process pork products safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Training is provided to help you develop skills and progress within the company.

Role may involve processing, cutting, trimming, packing, labelling and general production tasks. Pay is £12.75 per hour, with Thursday–Saturday 6:30am–6:30pm shifts, and opportunities to grow within a large meat production business.

Responsibilities

• Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Prepare, process and pack pork products to specification.
• Check product quality including size, weight and presentation.
• Operate equipment safely after training.
• Pack and label products accurately.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Work to production targets and daily plans.
• Report any product, equipment or safety issues.

Role Overview

As a Production Operative, you’ll be part of a hands-on team preparing and processing pork products safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Depending on your role and experience, you may work across areas including processing, cutting and trimming, packing, labelling and general production. Full training is available, with opportunities to develop your skills and progress.

Pay: £12.75

Location: Malton

Working Pattern: Thursday - Saturday 6:30am-6:30pm

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll be reliable, practical and comfortable working as part of a busy production team. You’ll also need to:

• Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures
• Prepare, process and pack pork products to specification
• Check product quality, including size, weight and presentation
• Operate equipment safely following training
• Pack and label products accurately
• Keep your work area clean and organised
• Work to production targets and daily plans
• Report any product, equipment or safety issues

Previous food manufacturing experience is useful but not essential as training will be provided.
