Role: Team Member 1

Salary: £28,413.83

Working Hours: 2 week rolling rota. One week Monday – Wednesday 6am to 18.05pm, Thursday 6am to 14:05pm and the second week Monday – Wednesday 6pm to 6.05am.

What will this role achieve?

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual for a Production Operative - Team Member 1 role. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment producing products for a leading UK brand.

What will be your key deliverables?

  • You will be responsible for the manufacture of cake based, chocolate enrobed products on a continuous operation.

  • Carry out all pre-start checks.

  • Carry out product quality evaluations throughout the shift.

  • Understand equipment and machinery set up.

  • Be able to work in a cross-functional working environment.

  • Ensure changeovers are completed to procedure.

  • Ensure all documentation is filled in correctly and to the right standard.

  • Shift handovers are completed in area and to agreed agenda

  • Train peers and new operatives in equipment use and procedures when required.

  • Undertake basic problem diagnosis and maintenance

  • Communicate directly with relevant person to resolve any issues

  • Control and operate a variety of processes and equipment to the highest standards of safety and quality.

  • Ensure the efficient operation of process equipment whilst carrying out quality inspections and maintaining a safe working environment.

  • Maximise plant efficiency whilst minimising waste.

  • Ensure housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained to the highest of levels.

  • Working to the highest standards of GMP.

  • Supporting the business with the generation of any improvement Initiatives.

Essential

The successful applicant will work as part of a dynamic team and be able to perform the various roles required.They must have a‘can do’ attitude and positive approach and help maintain the high standards required in food production.

  • We’re looking for people who are open to working flexibly and feel comfortable adapting to a fast-moving environment—with support available to help you succeed.

Desirable

  • Ideally, you’ll have experience working with food and operating machinery in a quality-focused factory environment.

  • Have an understanding of good manufacturing practices and safety at work procedures.

  • Understand zonal Key Performance Indicators (production targets, waste levels and line performance)

What does the recruitment process consist of?

Assessments – Swift Comprehensive Aptitude assessment along with a Workplace English assessment. These should take around 45– 60 minutes to complete.

Interview – 45-60 minute competency-based interview based on our company values and your experience.

If you’re an internal member of staff, depending on your current job role, you may not be required to complete the assessments.
