Job summary

Samworth Brothers in Leicester is seeking a hands-on production operator to complete machine set-up and start-up checks, review the daily production schedule, and ensure materials are available to meet demand. You will guide operatives on the line and work with the Team Leader to optimise line performance.

You’ll contribute to ongoing product quality checks, complete required paperwork and CCP checks, and pursue progression into leadership roles within a supportive, equal-opportunity culture.

Responsibilities

• Complete the set-up and start-up checks of the machines, review the daily production schedule and ensure the correct quantities of materials are available to meet the production needs.
• Provide guidance to the production operatives working on the line and work closely with the Team Leader to manage the line performance.
• Ensure product quality is continuously monitored through the shift, fill relevant paperwork as per requirement and CCP checks on the lines.
