Job summary

OA Group is advertising a Production Operative position in Kettering. The role covers sorting and quality checking with shift options from 8am to 4pm, or 8am to 6pm if desired. Hours are Monday to Friday; candidates should arrive 15 minutes early for handover. Pay is £14.61 per hour.

The successful candidate will perform standard production duties, quality checks and paperwork, maintain hygiene, and support the team to meet daily targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse or FMCG is desirable.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
• Reliable and punctual; physically fit for manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Clean production areas, machinery and equipment to maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Carry out routine quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
• Identify and report product defects or quality issues.
• Complete production and quality documentation accurately.
• Support production teams with general operational duties.
• Follow health and safety procedures and standard operating procedures at all times.
• Assist with manual handling and movement of materials.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Work towards daily production targets as part of a team.

Hours: 8am-4pm (can be 8am-6pm if wanted!), Monday to Friday. Candidates must arrive 15 minutes before each shift for handover.

What we would like from you:

• Previous experience within manufacturing, production, warehouse or FMCG is desirable.
• Experience in a quality-focused environment would be advantageous.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
