Salary: £13.29 per hour (Week 1 - Mornings) | £15.29 per hour (Week 2 - Lates)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Polisher – Level 1 to join a leading precision manufacturing facility based in Droitwich Spa. This role involves detailed polishing of metal components to remove defects and ensure compliance with exacting specifications. Ideal for someone with hands-on experience in metal finishing, casting, or related fields.
Hours of Work:
Week 1 (Mornings): 05:30 to 13:45 (Monday to Thursday), 05:30 to 11:45 (Friday) – £13.59 per hour
Week 2 (Lates): 14:00 to 22:00 (Monday to Thursday), 12:00 to 19:05 (Friday) – £15.29 per hour
Perform polishing tasks across a variety of operations, including:
Aerofoil (basic and complex)
Radius (basic and complex)
Edge finishing (leading/trailing)
Core exit flash removal
Inter vane and shroud polishing
Deburring and use of small/large power grinders
Use precision measuring tools to assess and adjust parts.
Select and replace grinding belts as required.
Maintain detailed records, including booking work on internal systems.
Collaborate with inspection teams to ensure high-quality standards.
Comply with all health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
Support training and continuous improvement across operations.
Experience in metal polishing or similar precision work is essential.
Previous background in casting, automotive, or metal manufacturing preferred.
Confident using air tools and linishing equipment.
Able to read and follow technical instructions.
Good communication and IT skills.
Physically fit with good vision (with or without correction).
Comfortable standing for extended periods and working in a physically active role.
