Job Title: Production Operative – Part Time

Shift Pattern: 05:00 – 17:00 or 06:00 – 18:00 2 days on 6 days off (19.5 average hours per week)

Location: Palethorpes Bakery, Market Drayton, TF9 3AL

Salary: Earn between £12.54 and £13.77 per hour,

If you've got a knack for fast-paced food production, a keen eye for detail, and a love for all things pastry, then you might just be the perfect filling for our team!

Job Description: As a Production Operative, you will play a pivotal role in our fast-paced food production environment, ensuring the seamless operation of our Hot-Pie production lines. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of efficiency, quality, and hygiene while adhering to strict safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

As a Production Operative you will

  • Operate and maintain production line equipment efficiently to meet daily production targets.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure adherence to product specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Work with raw meat and ingredients, following stringent hygiene practices to prevent contamination.
  • Monitor critical control points (CCPs) to uphold food safety and quality standards.
  • Lift and handle ingredients and finished products, weighing up to 25kg, with care and attention to safety.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any production issues promptly.

Requirements

  • Good written and spoken English skills to effectively communicate with team members and supervisors.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced factory environment, ideally within the food industry.
  • Physical ability to lift and handle weights up to 25kg safely.
  • Experience as Production Operative or knowledge of operating and maintaining production line equipment is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of critical control points (CCPs) and food safety regulations is preferred.
