We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Hams Hall team as a Production Operative.

This role involves overseeing and controlling production processes in manufacturing concrete building blocks for both commercial and domestic markets.

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all plant and equipment, with training provided on various production processes including our concrete batching plant, manufacturing & packaging plant, and mobile plant operation.

Your duties include but are not limited to:

Health & Safety Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of health and safety for yourself and others.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures.
• Report safety concerns promptly.
• Follow risk assessments and safe systems of work.
• Maintain PPE and equipment in good condition.
• Ensure guarding is correctly fitted and report defects.
• Obtain permits for high-risk tasks.

Quality Systems Responsibilities

• Complete process control sheets daily and report quality issues.
• Adhere to site quality standards.
• Contribute to a sustainable culture at the workplace.

About You

• Well organized, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Willing to be trained or experienced in operating manufacturing machinery.
• Awareness of health and safety legislation.
• Ability to manage varied workloads.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Education & Experience

• GCSE level literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
• Experience working in a team and in a factory environment is advantageous.
