Job description

Job Title: Production Operative

Location: Ash, the outskirts of Sandwich (must drive due to client's location)

Contract: Temporary contract for 3 months

Salary: £12.50 per hour

Hours: 39 per week (Monday - Thursday 08:00-17:00; Friday 08:00-13:00)

Duties:

  • Mixing chemical compounds in preparation for production.
  • Once the chemical is mixed and made into powder, put the powder into tubes, seal and pack.
  • Complete product quality testing.
  • Ensuring chemicals are stored safely and in compliance with HSE standards.
  • Complete all work in a safe manner, complying with Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and standards.
  • Ensure build and quality standards are maintained.
  • Maintain appropriate production and safety records.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, as required, such as a ride on mower and trimmers to cut hedges.

Experience and skills required for this position:

  • Previous experience in either production, assembly, warehouse or manufacturing would be desirable but full training will be provided.
  • Must be comfortable lifting up to 25kg.
  • Must be comfortable working out percentages.
  • DBS check will be carried out.
