Overview

Production Operative – Food Manufacturing

Location: Winchester

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday (day shifts starting between 06:00 and 10:00)

Join our client’s busy food manufacturing team in Winchester and play a key role in producing high-quality products. As a Production Operative, you’ll help ensure every item meets strict safety and quality standards while keeping operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery, following recipes and ensuring optimal performance
• Adhere to HACCP principles, food safety, and hygiene regulations—“clean as you go”
• Conduct regular equipment checks, perform basic troubleshooting, and record production data accurately
• Perform quality checks and complete all required documentation
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
• Maintain a clean, organised work area in compliance with health regulations

What We’re Looking For / Qualifications

• Previous food manufacturing or FMCG experience (preferred, not essential)
• Strong understanding of food safety practices; HACCP knowledge is an advantage
• Mechanical aptitude for operating and maintaining equipment
• Good literacy, numeracy, and attention to detail for accurate measurement and documentation
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions precisely
