This is a Permanent , Full Time vacancy that will close in 8 days at 23:59 BST .

The Vacancy

Hours of Work:

Monday to Thursday 2pm-10.30pm and Friday 2pm-8pm

About the Role:

We are a leading manufacturer of steel lintels, and we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Forklift Truck (FLT) Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of steel lintels and other materials within our production areas. Your work will be vital to ensuring the smooth running of our operations and the timely delivery of quality steel products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Always promote Health & Safety in the workplace, displaying excellent personal safety and challenging others when unsafe behaviour is observed.
  • Use of FLT
  • Manually loading and unloading products
  • Checking stock against paperwork
  • Achieve agreed KPIs
  • Maintain a tidy working environment
  • Instil and maintain a customer service culture where the customer always comes first
  • This includes customer service culture for our internal and external customers.
  • To carry out other tasks as deemed necessary, that are within the job holder's capability.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience operating forklifts, ideally within a manufacturing or steel industry environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards, particularly in a warehouse or heavy industry setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work safely under pressure.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
