Job summary

QS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Production Operative for a busy manufacturing site in Hinckley (LE10). You will support production, handling, quality checks and packaging, working to production procedures and safety guidelines.

The role is temporary with a view to permanent after a successful 12-week assignment via the recruitment agency. Hourly rate is £12.71, with Mon-Thu 08:30–16:30 shifts and breaks as specified.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a production, manufacturing or warehouse environment is essential.
• Confident with machinery, tools and production equipment.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow written/verbal production instructions.
• Able to read and process barcodes, purchase orders and material orders.
• Be flexible and able to work as part of a small team to meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently.
• Start, stop and monitor machinery per operating procedures.
• Pack and wrap finished goods for dispatch; palletise when needed.
• Read and follow production instructions and specs.
• Carry out quality checks and report any issues promptly.
• Assist with stock checks and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
