Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a global leader in the manufacture of tags, labels, wristbands, and badges. As part of a small, high-performing team, you will play a crucial role in achieving daily production goals in terms of quality and quantity, while meeting customer expectations and optimising efficiency.

We are looking for a dedicated Production Operative to join our client’s busy production team on the evening shift, working alongside a small team of seven. You will receive the support you need to develop and enhance your skills. We seek individuals with a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn about print production.

What You’ll Be Doing as a Production Operative

This role involves gathering and boxing sheets of wristbands from the conveyor at the end of the press, performing quality control, labelling, and providing support for production preparation.

A typical day as their Production Operative will include:

- Ensuring customer orders are packed according to specifications and dispatched on time
- Inspecting items for damage or defects both before and after packing
- Adhering to all safety and quality requirements
- Supporting machine operators with various tasks
- Cleaning and performing basic maintenance of work areas and machines
- Identifying and pursuing opportunities for improvement
- Providing support to the Production Manager

Hours

Monday to Wednesday: 16:00 – 02:00, Thursday: 15:30 – 01:00 (4 day week)

As a Production Operative, you will receive:

- £28,200 per annum including a 17.5% shift premium
- Overtime available at a rate of 1.33 times the standard hourly rate
