Position Title: Production Operative Doors Department

Location: Paneltex Ltd, Somerden Road, Hull, HU9 5PE

Reporting to: Manager/Supervisor/Team Leader

Hours of work: 40 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00 and Friday 08:00 to 14:00

Salary: From £12.50 per hour

Job Overview

To produce doors for home delivery vehicles, trailers and trucks. Ensuring door panels are measured and cut to the specifications detailed on the drawings. Prep, press, seal and gasket panels. Panels are then assembled to produce high-quality standard finished doors, ready to be distributed to the assembly line for vehicle fitting.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Use a variety of hand tools and techniques to ensure quality remains high.
  • Completing the works to scheduled deadlines working directly with the Supervisor.
  • Be familiar with the companys Health and Safety Policies and in particular with your responsibilities.
  • Comply with all relevant internal rules, policies and procedures, included in the company handbook.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Previous experience and proficient in the use of hand-held power tools.
  • Ability to read and understand detailed engineering drawings.
  • Setting up manufacturing equipment.
  • Practical with high attention to detail.
  • Effective communication includes speaking, writing, active listening and taking instructions.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload in order to meet deadlines.
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety.
  • Excellent work ethic and team player.
  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance.
    • Flexible approach to working additional hours when required.
