Job summary

First Base Employment is seeking a Temporary Production Operative in Bridgwater. The role is FP/PP Temp-to-Perm with full-time hours, from Monday to Friday, 8am–4.30pm, finishing at 1pm on Fridays.

You will inspect products, operate production machinery, set up tooling, and perform quality checks while adhering to SOPs and health and safety standards. This position requires attention to detail and a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of all products.
• Operate various production machinery, including weighing, mixing, and pressing equipment.
• Set up tooling for production runs.
• Conduct quality checks throughout the production process.
• Carry out all operations as outlined in production paperwork and SOPs.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area at all times.
• Work flexibly and be willing to be transferred to other production areas as needed.
• Perform all work activities in accordance with health and safety requirements.
• Maintain a high standard of punctuality and attendance.
• Work well under the pressure of deadlines.
