Qualifications

  • Manufacturing, construction, or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Able to pass a drugs and alcohol test.

Job description

Production Operative and FLT Driver – Multiple Needs

Location: Desford
Salary: Initially £39,268, rising to £45,869 after 3 months
Shifts: 4 on 4 off – days and nights

Immediate Start

This well-established company in the Leicestershire area is seeking multiple FLT Drivers due to increased business demand. They are looking for motivated and reliable individuals who are eager to learn. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate FLT safely and in accordance with training and company procedures
  • Load and unload vehicles with correct, high-quality product as per loading tickets
  • Check packaging and load safety; report or repair any damaged or sub-standard packs
  • Maintain accurate records including picking slips, load traceability, and lot numbers
  • Support production operations when not carrying out FLT duties
  • Offload deliveries and move materials to correct storage areas
  • Keep the yard area clean, tidy, and free from hazards at all times
  • Perform daily FLT and safety checks; report defects immediately
  • Follow LOTOTO, SOPs, and all health & safety procedures at all times
  • Contribute to shift handovers and collaborate effectively with team members
  • Uphold company policies, procedures, and the Forterra Golden Rules

Candidate Requirements:

  • Valid FLT license (Counterbalance or equivalent) – Refresher course provided if necessary
  • Manufacturing, construction, or warehouse experience preferred
  • Strong awareness of safety procedures and hazard prevention
  • Willingness to assist with general production tasks as needed
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling
  • Able to pass a drugs and alcohol test
