Job Description:

You will have an integral role in our commitment to ensuring a positive difference is made to millions of people’s lives through your role as a Production Operative working within Dry Powder Media Production. You will have a varied, challenging, and rewarding role working within a highly regulated manufacturing environment preparing various batches for the manufacture of Dry Powder and Liquid Media. This role operates on a 4 on 4 off basis, consisting of 2 days and 2 nights, with 12-hour shifts from 8 AM to 8 PM.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Ensuring the formulation rooms and equipment are clean and audit-ready.
2. Completing all documentation in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (EXCiPACT GMP).
3. Ensuring process rooms are within specifications prior to use.
4. Verifying scales are within specifications using check weights from 1g to 25 kg.
5. Weighing batch aliquots of raw materials within required tolerances using SAP scale interface.
6. Using SAP for formulation of raw materials for Dry Powder Media (DPM) and liquid media, documenting on electronic batch records.
7. Performing desiccation and lyophilisation processes for raw materials, documenting on electronic batch records.
8. Maintaining housekeeping for raw materials within SAP and the raw material pantry.
9. Cleaning/preparing Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs), super sacks, equipment, glassware, and formulation areas.
10. Prioritizing workload to meet the Production Schedule and communicating any delays to supervisors and colleagues.

Qualifications and experience:

• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment or a scientific qualification (HND/HNC or above).
• Effective numeracy and literacy skills, with a focus on accuracy.
• Experience in a GMP environment is desirable.
• Experience with systems, particularly SAP, is advantageous.
